As S.Pellegrino, we are committed to acting responsibly at all times and incorporating a caring attitude in all our business practices. Preserving the catchment area of the water has always been one of our priorities.

That's why in 2021 we undertook the route to certification under the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS), a global membership collaboration of businesses, NGOs and public sector bodies, and above all the global benchmark in the field.

The objective of the Alliance for Water Stewardship Standard is to drive the equitable and sustainable management of water resources, as water is essential for developing and maintaining successful, healthy economies and for human health and wellbeing.

Achieving Alliance for Water Stewardship certification is a source of pride for us.

In line with our commitment to reduce, reuse and recycle the water utilised, the plant in Bergamo, Italy, where S.Pellegrino sparkling natural mineral water is bottled, saved more than 154 million litres of water in its production processes last year.

But this is not the end of our journey towards sustainability. It is an additional motivation for continuous improvement in responsible water management.

Through good water governance we will ensure responsible sharing of water resources in the interests of the local community and the natural environment.

We will always use the water resources needed for production in the most sustainable way, ensuring constant good water quality status while preserving the surrounding natural environment, and the safety of our workers. With Alliance for Water Stewardship certification, we are strengthening our commitment to driving positive environmental and social impacts on our business and in local communities.
