S.Pellegrino Sapori Ticino is celebrating its 10 years in a unique way: over 60 Michelin stars will animate its evenings during the 2016 event.
Also, on the official evenings, as guests in some of the best top-hotels and restaurants in Ticino, 10 triple Michelin-star Chefs will present exciting and unforgettable culinary moments of the highest level.
S.Pellegrino Sapori Ticino, first in Switzerland and one of the best events in the world of gastronomy, has opened the 2016 edition on the 4th of April with a dinner at the Park Hotel in Viznau, and will run until the 19th of June.
As for the past editions, this new one is studded by Michelin stars renowned for their prestigious signature dinners in restaurants and also in the most beautiful locations of Ticino and Switzerland.
10 evenings dedicated to haute cuisine prepared by triple Michelin-star Chefs
The rich program include 24 evenings dedicated to haute cuisine, 10 of which will be prepared by triple Michelin-star Chefs and enriched by many collateral events.
Since 2012 S.Pellegrino Sapori Ticino is also giving the spotlight to young and talented emerging chefs, and the first event of the 9 special ones is dedicated to them. S.Pellegrino Young Chef, the worldwide contest dedicated to the search of the best chefs under 30, will be the main theme of the Young Chef Night, that will take place on the 18th of May at the Seven The Restaurant in Lugano.
During the special night Mark Moriarty, winner of S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2015, Martin Elschnerr (Swiss finalist), Paolo Griffa (Italian finalist) and Francesco Sangalli (best dessert at the swiss local final), will prepare for the guests the signature dishes that determined their success during the talent.
This is surely a fantastic occasion to appreciate the beauty and the hospitality of Ticino and to try all the savours that the most talented chefs have created, while we wait to discover the new protagonists of S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2016.
