S.Pellegrino and Pavarotti: the 2013 edition of the S.Pellegrino Italian Talents project celebrates the great tenor, who epitomised Italian opera, with a special bottle and a series of events dedicated to the Maestro.
The launch in New York, on 16th April, will feature an installation that offers a preview of the amazing AMO Pavarotti exhibition which will be held in the Opera Museum in Verona, Italy, the temple of international opera. The installation – which is on display at 82 Mercer in Manhattan for three days and can be viewed by invitation only – has been organised by Nicoletta Mantovani, the tenor’s wife, together with the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation, as has the exhibition in Italy.
Visitors will be able to admire video screenings, photographs and objects that belonged to the Maestro, and listen to recordings of classic arias and his famed forays into the world of pop music. A young soprano and a young tenor from the Foundation will sing live especially for the occasion. On the opening evening guests will enjoy an exclusive dinner organised by the Fini family, which owns the restaurant in Modena where Luciano Pavarotti loved to eat.
After the event in New York, the great Pavarotti exhibition at Verona’s AMO will open its doors to the public on 23rd April. S.Pellegrino has also organised other opera initiatives to showcase talented young singers in the world’s finest theatres throughout the year: the first shows will be held at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow on 14th and 15th May 2013.
The S.Pellegrino Italian Talents project has been celebrating Italian talents around the world for three years with dedicated events and special editions of its iconic bottle. Millions of the special edition bottles are produced and will be served at the tables of the world’s finest restaurants for a limited period only.
