Late Summer Platter

The taste of (late) summer

A platter inviting you to team up ham, figs and cheese in an informal manner is simple and wholesome way to mark the end of summer and greet the arrival of autumn.

September figs are the last of the summer pick so take advantage while they last. With their sweetness, they team up sublimely with a deliciously fragrant, well seasoned raw ham. Acacia or mixed flower honey perfectly offset the assertive flavour of cheese, especially the blue veined variety, which has had sufficient time to fully develop its aromas.

Just a few, simple ingredients which, when brought together, express their individual flavours and textures to the full. Simple, but by no means banal.
