Find out the names of the successful young chefs that will compete in the Regional Finals 2019-2020 for the UK & Northern Europe Region, along with details of their signature dishes.

Each young chef was carefully picked by ALMA - The International School of Italian Cuisine, where each of their signature dishes were assessed according to the same 3 criteria, the Golden Rules: Technical Skills, Creativity and Personal Belief.

In accordance with the new rules this year that aims to address gender equality, each pool of Regional Finalists has been chosen to include at least three women out of the total of ten for each Region, where possible.

These Regional Finalists will now proceed to the Regional Finals 2019-2020 phase of the worldwide talent competition, which will conclude by the end of this year. Each Regional Finalist will participate along with the guidance of their chosen mentor chefs, in a total of 12 Regional Finals organized around the world. Here they will get their first taste of competition as they face off against their peers giving a panel of local chef judges the chance to try their signature dishes.

The jury’s decision, based on the Golden Rules, will be final as they select the best young chef capable of representing the region at a global level. In order to guide each Finalist on their culinary journey ahead, a Mentor Chef will be assigned to each aspiring young chef by S.Pellegrino.

Apart from the Finalists, there will be a further three awards assigned at all Regional Finals. The Fine Dining Lovers Food for Thought Award, the S.Pellegrino Award for Social Responsibility, and the Acqua Panna Award for Connection in Gastronomy.

These Finalists and Finalists of the three awards of each Region will be announced on www.sanpellegrinoyoungchef.com as and when they take place.

The final stop will be the ultimate occasion, the opportunity to cook on the international platform of the S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2019-2020 Grand Finale in Milan, where a top jury will crown the best young chef in the world, as well as the winners of each of the three additional awards mentioned above.
