DAY 2: THE THIRD AND LAST GROUP

The third group of the 21 finalists, on the second day of the Grand Finale as they too battled it out in the last hours of the competition.
This group included: Edoardo Fumagalli (Italy), Killian Crowley (UK-Ireland), David Wälti (Switzerland), Elizabeth Puquio Landeo (South America), Falko Weiss (Germany-Austria), Oscar Segundo (Central America-Caribbean) and Vusumuzi Ndlovu (Africa-Middle East).

DAY 1: THE SECOND GROUP

Watch the second group of finalists in the latter half of Day 1 of the Grand Finale of S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2018 as they prepared and presented their signature dishes to the jury.
This group of finalists included John Riviera (Pacific), Yasuhiro Fujio (Japan), Chanwai Poon (China), Marcin Popielarz (East Europe), Ruslan Evstigneev (Russia-CIS), Frédéric Chastro (Benelux) and Zih-Yang Chen (North East Asia).

DAY 1: THE FIRST GROUP

Day 1: The first group of finalists completed their signature dish presentations to the Seven Sages as the Grand Finale continued. Find out who prepared what, whose signature dish wowed the jury, and where the emotions ran high, right here.

This part of the competition included the finalists Antonio Buono (France), Anton Husa (Scandinavia-Baltics), David Andrés (Spain Portugal), Benjamin Mauroy-Langlais (Canada), Constadina Voulgari Kontesoupoulou (Mediterranean Countries), John Taube IV (USA) and Jake Kellie (South East Asia).

Following months of intense regional competition we are now ready for the S.Pellegrino Young Chef Grand Finale which takes place 12-13 May in Milan, Italy.

Legions of chefs entered the global search to find the best young talent in the world. Of those, 210 young chefs were short-listed for the 21 regional semi-finals. After winning their regional final, each of the 21 Young Chef finalists were paired up with a mentor who was also on the local selection panel. Over the past months they have worked closely with their mentors to perfect their signature dishes ready to present to seven of the world’s top chefs at the Grand Finale.

The long-awaited Grand Finale will be covered in 4 live streaming episodes, so you get to view all the finalists direct from the event in Milan in their cooking and presentation of signature dishes, up until the reveal of the proud winner of S,Pellegrino Young Chef 2018.

Clear your calendars at the following times to be the first to see the finalists, as they prepare and pass up their signature dishes to the Seven Sages (Milan local time) at:

  • 12th May: 12:00 PM -1:10 PM
  • 12th May: 5:50 PM – 7:00 PM
  • 13th May: 12:00 PM – 1:10 PM

THE FINAL ACT: ALL THE AWARDS 

The Awards Ceremony will be live streamed on 13th May at 7:00 PM – 8:10 PMduring which the winning S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2018 will be announced (as voted by the Seven Sages).

The winners of the other two awards - the Fine Dining Lovers People’s Choice Award (voted by worldwide foodies through the online vote closing on 13 May at 3:00 PM Milan local time) and the Acqua Panna - Taste of Authenticity Award 2018 (voted by the 21 mentors) will also be announced during the Awards Ceremony.
