The anxious wait is over, the rigorous selection process complete, and the names of 210 talented Young Chefs from around the world shortlisted to compete in the prestigious S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2018 competition can now be revealed.

Find out the names of each of the successful young chefs that will compete in the Local Competitions 2017 for UK & Ireland area, along with details of their signature dishes.

Each young chef regional semi-finalist was carefully picked by ALMA -The International School of Italian Cuisine, where each of their signature dishes were assessed according to the same criteria: ingredients, skills, genius, beauty and message.

The semi-finalists will now proceed to the Local Competitions 2017 phase of the worldwide talent competition, which will unfold in the coming months and finish by December 2017. A total of 21 local competitions will be organised around the world giving the young semi-finalists their first taste of competition as they face off against their peers giving a panel of local chef judges the chance to try their signature dishes.

The jury’s decision will be final as they select the best young chef to capable of representing the region at a global level. However, in order to guide them on their culinary journey ahead a chef mentor will be assigned to each aspiring young chef.

The final stop will be the ultimate occasion, the opportunity to cook on the international platform of the S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2018 Grand Finale in Milan, where a top jury, will crown the best young chef in the world.
